Yucaipa was built on the dreams of seekers. The native Serrano Indians sought land rich with natural resources, prospectors came in search of a glittering future, and ranchers settled here to give their families a prosperous and beautiful place to call home. For over 1,000 years Yucaipa has flourished, growing into the thriving and active community we know and love today. In order to further this trajectory of prosperity and fortify Yucaipa’s identity as a vital part of the Inland Empire, we must join together and give back to the city we love.
The citizens of Yucaipa have spoken and are ready for a center of culture and entertainment…a place to gather, learn, and celebrate the arts.
To raise $9 million for the development of the YUCAIPA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER and CELEBRATE the role of arts and culture in a thriving and active city center.
“Yucaipa’s heritage is rich in culture. Its citizens have always been critical to keeping that heritage alive. We must join together and give both our resources and time to write this new chapter of history.”
“I’ve been working with Yucaipa’s kids for 40 years. No matter if it’s sports, academics, or singing and dancing, the important thing is they have a place to express themselves. We already have so many places for our athletes to shine, I think it would be great to give our artists their own special place.”
“My life would be so different without music. It is incredibly important to encourage a love of music, and art in general, in our kids and the community. We have the opportunity to foster the world’s next generation of premier artists. Part of what the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center will do is help them realize they can succeed.”
“Doing plays makes me feel like a movie star! It would be so awesome to be on a stage as big as the ones on Broadway!”
“I like how big people smile when we do concerts and I get to play songs on my saxophone.”
“As a long-time proponent of community advancement, I have witnessed firsthand the positive effects of local arts and culture when they are continually celebrated and nurtured. Citizens become more engaged with each other, building lasting networks and relationships.”
“I have always believed in the positive impacts of development projects in Yucaipa. A performing arts center would be the capstone for a flourishing and growing city.”
